IHN has partnered with Supreme Care Corporation to offer the OptimaSolutions™ Dietary Management System to IHN customers. OptimaSolutions™ is designed to reduce and control costs while improving efficiency in the dietary department. Significant savings should be realized in the first month of use. Since OptimaSolutions™ is a web-based system, starts up costs are minimal and licensing fees average pennies per patient day.
Tray Card System
A state of the art tray card system that offers various print options to eliminate manual sorting. Cards can be printed in three formats (standard, select, and point of sale select menu tray cards). The tray cards include diet icons, pictures of residents, pictures of adaptive devices, etc. that integrate with other system modules (diet production reports, beverage production reports, and supplement production reports). This helps to eliminate unnecessary labor and waste that can save up to $700.00 per day.
This system includes 10 sets of hard copy seasonal menus that are updated every six months. There is an automated diet/menu spreading software that allows the user to customize menus in house and automatically spread food items that adjust for the different diet orders. These changes integrate with all menu sets and the select menu tray card to assure accuracy. The menu system also includes extensive recipe files, menu production sheets, nutritional analysis, order guide, and automated ppd budget manager. This system will eliminate annual menu cost of $1,200.00 per year.
This system features a Supplement Usage Manager designed to help control supplement costs. Order changes are driven by resident status changes automatically identified on the report. It provides detailed information valuable to nursing, dietary and the registered dietitian to assess needs, manage costs, and eliminate liability. This module also includes integrated supplement labels, diet production/supplement production and beverage production reports. These reports automatically update every time a change is made to the tray card. Many clients have saved as much as $1,800.00 per month.
The management system includes resources necessary for dietary operations: direct order entry link to food distributors, dietary policies and procedures, dietary specific in-services/quizzes and dietary operational forms.
OptimaSolutions™ allows dietary manager access from any Internet location (office, home, nurses stations, PDA, etc.). Regional staff can login to monitor multiple facilities operations off-site.
